My sister has been using my TF5010PVRTH for awhile now.

She has told be that it keeps freezing and turning off all the time.

What would the problem be?

Several likely causes, the PSU is usually the culprit as the Toppies age but also could be the MB developing faults such as Caps. hardening.
Usual course of action is to replace PSU,if problem is still there replace HDD and its cable,if still no luck turf it,not worth worrying about.

Sounds like it isn't worth fixing anyways.

If its the Model i think it is best to move on.MPEG2 ,SD, so with MPEG2 being phased out in 5 years time, but more likely closer to 3 for some Networks, best not to waste time/money on it.
